Paramount Restaurant - Quality Food & Service

It's always not an easy task to organise a dinner that can squeeze all 13 adults and 2 babies in a table. Having a dinner at restaurants is always a headache job. Firstly, we have to search for a nearby restaurant that serves nice crusine and doesn't burn a big hole in our pockets. Next, is whether the restaurant has big table available to acomodate such a big group. A lot time we were advised by the restaurant staff to separate tables.
The best solutions is to have an International buffet or Ala Carte buffet. Ala Carte buffet is the best for lazy eaters like us who doesn't even need to move our butts and get served.
Having tried several Ala Carte buffet, Paramount Restaurant from Tung Lok Group is still our favourite.
The restaurant is always crowded especially during weekends. So, reservation is highly recommended.
The restaurant is at the East of Singapore-East Coast Road, so it's near our house.
This was definitetly not our first visit to Paramount Restaurant. Although the price of the Ala Carte buffer per person is not cheap but is definitely worth for money.

Chef's Recommendations

Mini Buddha Jumps Over The Wall 迷你佛跳墙
Limited to one serving per person
每位只限一份
The soup smelled and taste great. It was't too sweet or saulty, and the soup has perfectly absorbed all the fragrance of the meat & ingredients.

Beijing Roasted Duck(served with Spring Onions, Cucumber and Sweet Sauce)
京式片皮鸭 (配于青葱, 青瓜及甜酱)
Limited to two slices per person 每人只限两片
Beijing Roasted Duck has always been my brother's favourite ever since he visited Beijing and tried the original version of Beijing Roasted Duck. Well, I've not tried the original one but I felt this dish in nice.
Live Prawns (Limited to 100g per person)
鲜虾 (每位只限一百克)
Prawn Salad with Fresh Fruit
鲜虾沙律
The prawns were so huge that it took me some time time to finish one. The prawns were fresh and the lettuce and fruits accompanied it were sweet and tasty.
Cold Cuts and Appetisers

Barbecued Combination
烧味拼盘
This is my least favourite, besides the mini octopus and jelly fish, the rest were meat. It looks quite heavy

Mini Octopus
迷你八爪鱼
Mini Octopus is always our all time favourite.

Japanese Cuisine

Salmon Sashimi
文鱼刺身

The Salmon Sashimi was very fresh.

Beancurd / Vegetables

Braised Beancurd with Mushrooms
红烧豆腐
The braised beancurd tasted smooth and blended well with the gravy.

Sautéed Scallops with Celeryin X.O. Sauce
极品酱带子西芹
Too much of meat. Need vegetables to balance the meal, howeber, there's no much choices for vegetable as the menu catagorised vegetables with beancurd section.
This dish was actually under Seafood catagory, I just wanted to eat celery. However, the scallops were fresh and sweet.
Meat

Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs
京都排骨
The Ribs were OMG huge! We couldn't finished them all.

Fried Chicken Cutlet with Lemon Sauce
柠檬鸡扒
The fried chicken cutlets were very sour with the Lemon Sauce that covered the fragrance of the chicken.

Noodles

Braised “Ee-fu” Noodles
干烧伊面
It's kinda dry, maybe it was left on the table for some time as we were very busy finishing up the other dishes.

Desserts
Sweet Finale

Sago Cream with Honeydew
蜜瓜西米露
It's a great idea for serving desserts in small portion as everyone has already very full after the hearty course.

Ice-Cream Puff
The restaurant used to serve ice-cream in bowls, now they changed the menu to ICe-Cream Puff.

Rating: 好吃!好甲!Delicous! Burp~
