JUMBO Seafood @ East Coast Centre

Having staying at the East side of Singapore, one of the main benefit is FOOD!

There's alot of great dining places at East side. Just East Coast Park alone, there're numbers of dining places and restaurants. Me and my family love to dine at East Coast Park, it's not only convenient, but it's also a pleasure to dine at the beautiful sea view.

We went to Jumbo Seafood Restaurant at East Coast Park for dinner as our relatives visited us from Malaysia. The adults made the decision for the dishes while, we just sat down and chat, waiting for the food to be served.

Our first dish was the Cold Dish includes salad prawn, crispy baby squid, sea jelly and mango chikcen slice.

Next is our local favourite, Chicken Satay. Though it looks common, but it's not easy to grill in nice. The meat is tender and fragrance.

I love this stir fried Kailan. The Kailan serves at most of the restaurant wasn't as nice as this. It's either too soggy, bitter or too saulty. But this normal looking stir fried Kailan wasn't taste that way, it was fresh, sweet and crunchy. I simply couldn't stop eating it. BEST!!

Cereal Prawn is always our all time favourite, but this time we requested for shelled prawn as there were kids at with us and it's easy for everyone to eat. I normally prefer unshelled prawn as it taste sweeter with shell on. However, it taste as great as shelled prawn, thanks to the freshness of the prawns.

The only taste normal dish was the fried You Tiao, the taste is good as other restaurants, but it's specail to us for You Tiao being served with sweet dark sauce, although it's nice but majority prefer it to be served with salad sauce.

This sliced fish was fried with lots of fresh sliced fish. It's not fishy and spongy
We were happy to see more sliced fish than sliced ginger.

The 'XinZhou' bee hoon was also a great dish. It's not too dry. I'm wondering how the chef managed to fry such a great bee hoon.

Wow! Finally, our main superstar dish is out! Chilli Crab. This is the biggest crab I ever seen. The Pincers were really huge! The meat was very freshy and filling. It's finger lick'n good!

The only comment is the gravy. We doesn't like the texture of thr gravy. Too much of corn flour added that made it so starchy.

Just look at the size of the pincer, it's alomost as big as a fist!

Now, after a hearty meal, we come to the numbers.
2 tables, 8 dishes each, 17 adults and 4 children cost $636.20. Reasonable right!
Jumbo has quite a number of outlets in Singapore.
